Association of Churches

The New Testament demonstrates that just as no individual Christian should isolate himself from the authority and accountability of the local church, even so no local church is an island unto herself (1 Cor. 16:19-20).  Our congregation is inseparably connected to sister churches of like precious faith throughout the entire world.  Therefore, we must be prayerfully concerned for one another. We desperately need the mutual encouragement, counsel, and accountability of sister churches who share our same confession of faith (Acts 11:27-30; 15:1-35; 2 Cor. 11:28; Phil. 4:21-22; Col. 4:16).  Furthermore, there are labors for kingdom advancement that are often beyond the scope and abilities of a solitary congregation which are possible when we are formally connected to a league of likeminded churches. Our church is a charter member of the Georgia Association of Confessional Baptists (GACB) which was formally constituted as a state association on March 19, 2010, but expanded to become a regional association on September 12, 2019. Accordingly, our name was changed to the Southeastern Association of Confessional Baptist Churches on July 19, 2021. Each member church believes in the inspiration, infallibility, inerrancy, and sufficiency of the Holy Bible as given in the original autographs, and each fully subscribes to the Second London Baptist Confession of Faith (1677/89) as an accurate summary of our interpretation of Scripture’s teaching. Our purpose is to advance Christ’s kingdom on earth by providing an association in which churches of common confession may find mutual encouragement, assistance, edification, and counsel; and to participate in cooperative efforts in ministerial training, domestic & international church planting, literature publication, and other endeavors deemed appropriate by the Association.
